There are three Grain plans: Grain Free (free), Grain Pro (paid), and Grain Unlimited (paid).
You can use Grain for free--forever!
If you're a new user, just go to Grain.co and sign up with your email address (associated with your Zoom account), and authenticate your Zoom account that you'll be using with Grain.
The Grain Free plan offers you 5 transcribed recordings per month and 100 stored recordings, unlimited teammates, unlimited live notes (from the Grain desktop notepad), unlimited cloud import (of Zoom Cloud recordings), and a private workspace.
When you record more than 15 Zoom meetings -- that you want transcribed -- you'll have the option to upgrade to the Grain Pro Plan.
The Grain Pro plan offers you 30 transcribed recordings per month, and 1,000 stored recordings. You also get everything in the Grain Free Plan.
When you upgrade to Grain Pro, you can choose whom on your team -- if you have more than one person in your workspace -- upgrades to Grain Pro. You'll use one billing method for any upgrades in a workspace.
When you record more than 30 Zoom meetings -- that you want transcribed -- per month you'll have the option to upgrade to the Grain Unlimited Plan.
The Grain Unlimited plan offers you unlimited transcribed recordings per month, and unlimited stored recordings. You also get everything in the Grain Free Plan. In addition, the Unlimited Plan allows you to request removing the Grain watermark (our logo) from Grain brief video highlights (by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org).
When you upgrade to Unlimited, you can choose who on your team -- if you have more than one person in your workspace -- upgrades to Grain Unlimited. You'll use one credit card for any upgrades in a workspace.
Frequently asked questions about pricing
Q: How do I selectively turn off Grain for a certain call(s) in order to stay within my plan?
A: If you do not want Grain to transcribe a Zoom recording -- and count toward your transcribed recording limits in Grain Free and Grain Pro plans -- you'll need to toggle off "Capture All Recordings." You can find this setting in two places:
1) In the Account tab in the Account Settings in the web app at grain.co.
2) In the Account tab in the Preferences section of the Grain desktop app. See below.
When you authorize the connection between Zoom and Grain as part of your Grain new-user signup process, your Zoom recordings automatically appear in the Grain web app any time you end a Zoom recording -- if you don't toggle off "Capture All Recordings." If a Zoom recording appears in Grain, it will be transcribed and, therefore, be included in your transcribed recordings limits (15 lifetime transcribed recordings for Grain Free or 30 transcribed recordings per month for Grain Pro).
Q: I'm on the Grain Free plan and I really need to transcribe one more Zoom recording and I've reached my limit. What do I do?
A: If you are not ready to upgrade from Grain Free to the next plan (Pro or Unlimited), we offer a "Give & Get 5 More Recordings" feature.
Navigate to the bottom left-hand area of the grain.co web app and click on the Invite button. There, you can either invite a colleague to your Workspace or anyone as a new user of Grain (say, a friend at another company who wants to create their own workspace). Once your invitee converts as a new user of Grain, you will both receive five additional transcribed recordings.
Q: Where do I go to upgrade to Pro or Unlimited Plans?
A: Once you have an account, sign in to grain.co. There, navigate to the top-left-hand section of the web app and click your Workspace Name. Then, click Workspace Settings. Next, select the Plans tab. There, you can choose a plan: Free, Pro, or Unlimited.
Q: How do I know whose credit card was used to upgrade members of our workspace? And can I change the credit card?
A: Sign in to grain.co and navigate to the top-left-hand side of the web app. Click on your Workspace Name and choose Workspace Settings. Then, choose the Workspace tab. There, you will see which credit card is associated with your workspace. You can also change your credit card here, billing email address, and whether the account auto-renews (each month or annually depending on how you chose to upgrade).
You can have only one credit card per Workspace (meaning, if you want to upgrade two colleagues to, say, Pro Plan you'll need to use one credit card).
Q: How do I know who in my workspace is on what plan (Free, Pro, or Unlimited)? And can I change who is on what plan?
You can also select a member and remove them from their Plan. They will be downgraded to the Grain Free plan (15 lifetime transcribed recordings.)
You can also Suspend a user, which removes their ability to use the workspace but retains their recordings.
